To declare the utter futility of everything, only to idolize the Baader-Meinhof Group. But we love them because they were inept, achieved nothing, and unlike most terrorists, knew how to have a good time. Besides, their gripes were legitimate. Germany's press was corrupt, and Germany's government was full of ex-Nazis who should have been behind bars. Still, they forgot the first and sole rule of Flight Club: "Only one thing matters: learning to be the loser." E.M. Cioran
There were a lot of reasons for their anger indeed. You did not mention the main dribing force in any capitalist society, economy. The corridors of economic power were inhabited by monsters who had made their riches by pillaging and stealing in the occupird countries like Hanns Martin Schleyer, antisemite to the core, did in Czechia. The bastard.
Yes, I do understand their anger.

Good for you, my friend. I believe their anger was righteous. And thanks for the additional info. West Germany was a cesspool of war criminals, just as the US is now. Dick Cheney should be in the Hague. The younger Bush too. And all of their lackeys to boot. You can't be a world power and not be criminal and corrupt to the core. That's my belief.

One needs to commt crimes to gain power, one needs to commit crimes to keep this power, and power itself is a crime. It really is that simple.
And I agree with you in each and every point.

I love the way you put that... very elegantly simple. Glad we're of a like mind. Too many people here in the US think we're sinless. Just like too many German people did during Hitler's reign.
