Archeologists Discover The Shroud of Mantooth

Archeologists working in the Holy Land have announced what they call "the most important religious discovery of all time"--The Shroud of Mantooth.  The Shroud is believed to have been draped over Randy Mantooth after his symbolic death following the cancellation of the Jack Webb-produced 1972-1977 series Emergency.  Following his resurrection, Mantooth returned to network television, appearing on General Hospital, The City, and Loving. "The serendipitous discovery of the shroud promises to tell us much we don't know about the Man of Tooth," said Richard E. Tompkins, head archeologist of the expedition, which was searching for the lost city of Gotham.  "We couldn't believe what we were looking at," added Jema Suric, a member of the expedition.  "I felt a sense of awe and fell to my knees.  And I consider myself a lapsed Mantoothian at best."
