Taneytown's Brush With Fame

Our hometown of Littlestown has yet to be immortalized in song.  Not so nearby Taneytown, MD, where Unremitting Failure spent many a night in the late seventies trying to find God in long-neck bottles.  Steve Earle gives that benighted burg a kick in "Taneytown" off his mighty El Corazon album.  His linking of Taneytown and racism makes us wonder whether he spent time in the local watering holes--as we've said before, only in the bars of Taneytown could you find stickers in the urinals that read, THE KKK IS WATCHING YOU.  It was enough to make a fellow pee shy.
