What can we say about Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy? He wrote War and Peace. He wrote Anna Karenina. He wrote, "Save the cheerleader, save the world."
It was only by a piece of luck that NBC was able to hire Tolstoy to write for Heroes in the first place. He was initially under contract to ABC as a writer for Lost. He actually helped to write the pilot. But he had a falling out with co-creator J.J. Abrams. Wrote Tolstoy about the tiff, "J.J. wanted the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 to become involved in all kinds of romantic hijinks. I wanted them to find God and start an anarchistic agrarian commune where everyone speaks Esperanto."
Tolstoy is also interested in writing for films. At present he is shopping around a screenplay called The Living Corpse, about a guy who has sex with a gypsy and then shoots himself. It is not a comedy.
In addition to his novels and television work, Tolstoy also enjoys writing short stories, skiing, and sport fucking. He is currently married to Victoria's Secret lingerie model Anna Semyanovich.
