Was our meeting with legendary UF contributor, Hamburg's Jan Martin Löhndorf. We met him at a diner cum cafe in that wet port city, and we found him to be shy, amusing, friendly, knowledgeable, and much taller than us. He actually introduced himself to us on the street outside the restaurant, evidently recognizing us from our many appearances in the pages of People Magazine. We spent a couple of hours talking, and came away with the impression that he was much like us--a friendly misanthropist who plans to spend his twilight years as a recluse living in the country. Despite our many differences--he used to smoke and doesn't anymore, we still smoke and actually managed to put out our cigarette on his coat while giving him a goodbye hug--we share a common bond that will unite us forever--we're both good looking bastards. We can hardly wait to get back to Hamburg to look him up again. Because friends, say what you will, are hard to find.

Super! And, Mike, you should have incorporated all the rest of us contributors too... Amongst ourselves, we would have been a reformed smoker, drinker, dope fiend, Neil Diamond impersonator, bag piper, German, whore monger and pacifist. We could run for president!
