Tessin! Land of wonders! We spent over a week there, walking the dogs down muddy farm lanes and through the woods of the Wolfsburger Muhle. We also drank too much coffee, ate wild boar, rabbit, and duck, and jogged the pedestrian path towards cosmopolitan Sanitz and back. In other words we did very little, except catch the occasional train to Rostock to hang out at their Weihnachtsmarkt. Here we are at the Tessin train station. Behind us note that rarest of rarities, a blue German sky. The German character was formed by grey skies, and most of their invasions can be explained as the search for bluer ones. We're waiting for the Zug to arrive, and smoking an F6, the official cigarette of Communist East Germany. Unlike the Trabant the F6 survived the fall of the Berlin Wall, so thankfully we can enjoy them in the present day. Also notice the agricultural landscape. Tessin is in farming country, which means if you want you can spend entire days crossing muddy fields, detoured only by the plentiful peat bogs. Some of the crops grown include potatoes, corn, and rapeseed. There are also plenty of antiquated electrical pylons, which the storks like to sit on during the summer months. Now that its winter, they're in Africa, doing whatever storks do in Africa during the winter months. Catching some rays, probably.
Oi, Mike! Good to see you (as it was in Hamburg). Dapper hat you're wearing there, makes you look younger than you already are!

Thank you kindly, Jan Martin. In Hamburg, a kid kindly gave us his seat on the subway. We thought it was because we were carrying two heavy travel bags. Turns out it's traditional for your politer children to turn over their subway seats to old people.
