About this painting Bacon said, we kid you not, "It came to me as an accident. I was attempting to make a bird alighting on a field.” That’s like Leonardo da Vinci describing the Mona Lisa as an attempt to paint a bicycle.
I like this painting, I don't go for the pope ones,just me

yea we are as good as we can be. I just spent 1o minutes looking up Bruce Nauman because the painting above made me think of a sculpture he made but I couln't find an image of the one I saw in Mn in mid 90s. I saw rock and roll rat maze in person as well there. I did find some circular studio piece he made to refer to that mysterious circular thing with the meat on it above... going to crystal beach later today to divert the thought pattern here.:)
