Goldy McJohn

Celebrates a birthday today.  Goldy was in the original Steppenwolf. 

Probably played power flute.

Steppenwolf put out many great songs then disappeared.  It's a mystery as great as how those big heads swam to Easter Island.  Personally we like this guy's theory, namely that music critics turned on the band after "jumping off the 'rebel ride' and on to the 'pansy express'."

In addition to playing with Steppenwolf, Goldy played in a band called Manbeast.  The band didn't go anywhere, but with a name like Manbeast it should have.  That's the next to the greatest name in rock history, right behind Mantooth.

The original "Wolf".  Notice guy who was in Live Free or Die Hard at bottom. He's dating Drew Barrymore.  Life is meaningless.
