When We Were a Kid

The old man woke us up early one fall morning and said, "Put on your hunting jacket.  We're going elf hunting."  We were groggy with sleep but still had the presence of mind to say, "Don't you mean elk hunting?"  He said, "No, but if we should happen to see an elk, feel free to take a shot at it."
